KDD-2000 Student Travel
Awards Important Dates

KDD-2000 Sixth ACM SIGKDD International Conference on Student Travel Awards Student Travel Award Chair : Wenke Lee, North Carolina State University, (wenke@csc.ncsu.edu) ACM SIGKDD, SIGMOD, SIGART, and AAAI are pleased to
jointly sponsor Student Travel Awards for KDD-2000. Each award is $500. To be eligible for the award, a student must be: 1.
an author (or a co-author) of an accepted plenary or
poster paper to KDD-200, and 2. a full-time student at the time of paper acceptance. In addition, a student winning the award must come to KDD-2000 in order to receive the award check. The awards will be given, in the following order, to: 1. all students who are sole authors of plenary papers, 2. students who are sole authors of poster papers; and if there are awards still left: 3. students who are first authors of plenary papers, 4. students who are first authors of poster papers, 5. students who are co-authors, but not first authors of plenary or poster papers. In case of ties, preference will be given to the student from the institution that is further away from the conference site. Students whose papers have been accepted to
KDD-2000 are all invited to apply for the travel awards by June 7, 2000 by
sending: 1.
title page of their accepted KDD-2000 paper, 2.
Indication of plenary or poster paper, 3.
proof of their full-time student status (e.g. proof
of full-time registration status for current semester), 4.
