KDD 2003 Student Travel Awards
ACM
SIGKDD, IBM Research, AAAI and ACM SIGMOD are pleased to jointly sponsor
Student Travel Awards for KDD-2003. To be eligible for an
award, a student must be
- an author (or a co-author) of an accepted plenary or poster paper to
KDD-2003, and
- a full-time student at the time of paper acceptance.
In addition,
a student winning an award must attend KDD-2003 in order to receive the award
check.
Each award will cover up to $500 of travel expenses. The preference order for
awards will be as follows:
- students who are the sole author of a plenary paper,
- students who are the sole author of a poster paper,
- students who are the first author of a plenary paper,
- students who are the first author of a poster paper,
- students who are a co-author, but not first author of a plenary or poster
paper.
Students whose papers have been accepted to KDD-2003 are
invited to apply for the travel awards by mailing a letter with the following
information:
- the title page of the student's accepted KDD-2003 paper,
- an indication of whether the paper was accepted for plenary or poster
presentation,
- the student's contact information, including email address
- proof full-time student status (e.g. a letter from the student's advisor)
