The annual ACM SIGKDD conference is the premier international forum for data mining
researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, and government to share their
ideas, research results and experiences. KDD-08 will feature keynote presentations,
oral paper presentations, poster sessions, workshops, tutorials, panels, exhibits,
demonstrations, and the KDD Cup competition.

There were 599 total submissions (research track and industrial track combined)
to KDD 2008! Notifications of workshop acceptances will be coming soon. And with
that, workshop call for papers will be coming soon as well. If you missed the deadline
for the call for papers, the workshops are a great opportunity for you to share
your work. Check back soon for more details!

We had a great turnout for paper abstracts! Thanks to everyone who submitted. Not
only were there many interesting looking abstracts received, but we expect the quality
of the papers to be high based on what we've seen thus far. Don't forget that paper
submissions are due this Friday on the 29th! Good luck!

actually the 23rd and not the 22nd. The call for papers (both research and industrial/government
tracks) and proposals (panel, tutorial, and workshop) have all been posted.

KDD-08 will take place at the Lowes Lake Las Vegas Hotel in Las Vegas from August
